Autobiography

My name is Joy, and when I grow up, I want to be a writer.  It's my greatest dream to see my work in print (preferably with pretty covers), and I am steadily working my way towards that goal.  When I'm not writing, I'm usually reading, whether it's a classic (oh, hi there, Jane Eyre), or fantasy novels for preteens (Gail Carson Levine anyone?  Gilda Joyce mysteries, perhaps?).  I'm also one of those people that has a hard time settling on things; I love to dabble.  I paint with watercolours, and I'm always looking for new techniques, and I buy big coffee table books of art because I used to be an Art History major, and even though I'm not anymore, I still love looking at art.  I crochet like a granny, and buy fabric just because the print is nice (I'm not very good at sewing).  I work for a children's theatre company as a director, stage manager, and camp counsellor.  It's the best job I could ask for (other than being a writer of course!).  I bring my camera most places, and I have an obsession with taking pictures of things in windows.  I love rooms full of natural light.  I think I was born in the wrong time, but what can you do?
